International Day of the Girl Events

This October, join Plan Ireland in marking International Day of the Girl with two powerful events that highlight the strength, resilience, and creativity of girls worldwide.

On Friday, October 11th, we will host an inspiring photo exhibition featuring images of girls in crisis from Sudan, Gaza, and Ukraine.

Our Youth Advisory Panel will then host an interactive art workshop on Saturday, October 12th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Girls in Crisis Photo Exhibition – Opening Event

About the Exhibition

Get a chance to visit a powerful and moving photo exhibition as part of International Day of the Girl. The exhibition will spotlight the stories of girls living in crisis zones—from Sudan to Gaza to Ukraine. Through the lens of these photographs, you will witness their struggles, resilience, and hope as they navigate life in the midst of conflict and displacement.

The exhibition is not only an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges faced by girls around the world but also a call to action to support them in their fight for education, safety, and equality.
