Looking for a unique gift for your mother this Mother’s Day? Why not make a donation to help mothers and their children.
For mothers fleeing the war in Ukraine, this Mother’s Day will be spent without their friends and families and in the midst of uncertainty.
Many have left their husbands, partners and parents behind as they escape across the border and now face the added burden of securing a place to stay for themselves and their children in the coming days or months. Moreover, they fear for their children’s well-being as they face these challenges.
Will you donate to help?
With your help, and working alongside agencies in Moldova, Poland, and Romania, we can scale up urgent relief operations to support mothers, children, and their families.
The vast majority of people seeking refuge are women and girls. They are at particular risk of abuse and sexual exploitation. We are committed to supporting agencies in Moldova, Poland, and Romania that provide care, advice, and awareness of these risks among refugee children and caregivers.
Ina, 32, left Ukraine with her 6 year-old daughter Angelina and is staying at a shelter in Romania. “Angelina was very frightened and still talks about the noise of the sirens. They scared her. When she hears a loud noise, she thinks it’s the sirens and is scared. That will stay in her mind for a long time”.
When you make a donation, you’ll receive a special Mother’s Day card to share. Thank you for your help in keeping mothers and their children safe and healthy!
