Millennium Development Goals

At the UN Millennium meeting in 2000, former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern made a commitment to meet the UN target of spending 0.7 % of GNP on Official Development Assistance by the end of 2015 and Ireland also signed up to reach eight specific Millenium Development Goals during that period. Plan makes a real difference in reaching the goals.
