Because you sponsor a child for at least €25 a month you are above the qualifying level for Revenue’s scheme for relief on charitable donations. So, if you are on PAYE, Plan Ireland can claim back the tax you have paid on this money.

Put simply... If you are on the higher rate of PAYE (41%) your donation of €300 becomes €483. If you are on the lower rate (20%), it becomes €330.

Which of course means that Plan can help more children.
