Where your money goes

Your contribution will be invested in effective projects which address and promote equality for girls. 

Currently Plan's work with girls includes setting up girl-friendly schools in Togo, freeing slave girls in Nepal, helping young girls in Cameroon avoid forced marriage and return to the classroom and our work tackling the sexual exploitation of girls and young women in Thailand.

These projects, and many more like them, urgently need funding to continue operating.

Rita's story

Rita from Nepal

Your donation could help girls like 11-year old, former child slave Rita from Nepal (pictured above with her mam).

  Plan helped Rita's family by leasing them some land to get them started in growing their own vegetables. After the first harvest, they were able to save nine thousand rupees – three times as much as Rita's former master paid.  Since the family’s income has increased, Rita has been released from her kamalari (bonded labour contract) and is now back in school. 

By investing in Rita’s present, we have transformed her future.
