Plan and TV3 launch Child Sponsorship Appeal
Please support Plan Ireland's TV3 campaign TODAY. Sponsor a child and give them and their community a better chance at a better future.
April 18th, 2010 - Plan Ireland has teamed up with TV3 to help children living in extreme poverty in 48 of the world’s poorest countries. Together, we are looking for 300 child sponsors to come on board and support Plan’s work in the developing world.
Throughout April, Plan is asking TV3 viewers to sponsor a child with Plan Ireland and give children the chance at a better future.
Child sponsorship lets you see the difference you can make to a child's life and their community. Your money will be used to support vital water, food, health and education projects in the community where your sponsored child lives.
By becoming a Sponsor today, you’re not just sending money, you’ll be giving your sponsored child and their whole community the chance of a better life.
Money from child sponsorship goes to the community where your child is from and is used to support vital water, food, health and education projects.
Plan Ireland’s 3-week long appeal for sponsors will run on TV3 from April 5th – 24th across the Midday Show, Ireland AM and TV3. Child sponsorship costs just 73 cent a day, or €22 a month.
Sponsors and supporters of Plan Ireland include Nobel laureate John Hume, President Mary McAleese, rugby international Malcolm O’Kelly, Senators Fiona O’Malley and Ivana Bacik, comedian Colin Murphy, and over 8,500 Irish individuals, families, schools and businesses.
Internationally, Plan patrons include Hillary and Bill Clinton, Spanish Soccer captain Iker Casillas, Cherie Blair, and over 1.2 million child sponsors in 17 Plan countries.
