Rebuilding lives in flood-striken Burkina Faso

On September the first 2009, over 36cms of rain fell on Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, affecting over 700,000 people.

Three months later Plan Ireland CEO, David Dalton, accompanied Irish Times journalist Brian O'Connell and Provision photo-journalist Michael Mac Sweeney to Ouagadougou, to report on people’s efforts to rebuild their lives and Plan's support for their efforts.
