Good response to Plan Ireland's new TV advert
Plan Ireland's new TV Advert was broadcast for the first time on November 2nd and the response so far has been very encouraging with plenty of people getting in touch via text and email to become child sponsors.
The footage for the advert was shot in Haiti by Plan International and the voice-over was done by long-time Plan Ireland supporter and comedian Colin Murphy.
The 30-second advert, called "Simply to Survive", features 12-year old 'Joel' and follows him through an average day. Each morning, Joel must cross the dangerous border to the Dominican Republic to earn some money for himself and his family "simply to survive".
The advert will be aired across most terrestrial TV channels over the coming weeks and we are hoping that the initial interest will continue in these though times.
