Your Donation and Tax Back
Your donation can make a huge difference, more than once. By simply signing your tax relief form, you could help Plan claim hundreds of thousands of euro back from the Revenue Commissioners.
Have you donated to Plan Ireland in the past four years? With just a quick flick of your pen another donation, courtesy of the taxman, could be heading to Plan Ireland at no extra cost to you.
Give more without spending a cent
There are two criteria:
if you are a PAYE taxpayer and have donated €250 or more in any of the previous four years, then Plan can claim tax back from the Revenue Commissioners.
Every year we send out tax forms to be signed by Plan supporters who meet these two criteria.

Frequently asked questions
Who can claim tax relief and how does it work?
If you are a PAYE-only tax payer and have given €250 or more to Plan in the course of a tax year, Plan can reclaim the tax paid on your donations.
If you are self-assessed, or a corporation, you can also reclaim the tax paid on your donations. You will need a copy of your donation history to attach to your assessment form. You can get your donation history from our team at info@plan.ie.
How much more will my donation be worth?
Plan can reclaim an extra 25% of the value of your donations if you are a standard rate tax payer of 20%. For example, if you have given €250 over the course of a year, this will be worth an extra €63 to Plan.
My tax rate is personal. Will this information remain confidential?
Yes. Your details are confidential to Plan and the Revenue Commissioners. The information will not be used for anything other than the tax claim.
Where do I get a tax relief form?
Once a year, Plan automatically mails a tax relief form to all individual Plan donors that qualify for a tax reclaim.
Simply complete the form and return it to Plan's address:
Plan Ireland, 126 Lower Baggot Street, Freepost, Dublin 2
You can also download the form here.
You only need to fill out one form for each year that you donated more than €250. We can claim tax back for the past four years – so if you donated more than €250 in 2007 we can still claim the tax on it!
What is my PPS number and where do I find it?
This number is given to you by the Revenue Commissioners. You will find it quoted on any form or correspondence sent to you by them. You can also find it on your payslips.
